Nobody ever said it was going to be easy for the South Dakota women's basketball team in 2015.

The Coyotes will play away from Vermillion for the second straight weekend, as they travel to Oral Roberts and Western Illinois for the second weekend of Summit League action.

USD won its conference opener at Omaha last Friday, extending a two-point halftime lead into a 64-48 win.

Head coach Amy Williams says poor shooting and a pesky Mavericks defense made points hard to come by in the first 20 minutes:

Thursday night, South Dakota travels to Oral Roberts, to play a Golden Eagles team that's back in the Summit League after two seasons in the Southland Conference.

The tall (literally) task for the Coyotes in Tulsa is trying to contain ORU's 6-7 center Vicky McIntyre, who leads the nation in blocked shots and is tops in the Summit League in rebounding.

Coach Williams says it will be a challenge for her post players:

Tipoff is 7:00pm Thursday night in Tulsa.
