SiouxperCon 2016 is Friday, Saturday and Sunday; April 15, 16 and 17 at the Best Western Ramkota in Sioux Falls. There’s so much going on starting with the video game tournament Friday night. Plus, there’s going to be vendors, booths, panels, movies, cosplay and so much more.

Here’s more highlights and details about some of the tabletop gaming stuff going on.

Magic: The Gathering tournament on Sunday.
Magic the Gathering: Commander-Multiplayer Swiss Rounds; Pairing throughout the tournament based on how well you do. If that makes sense to you this tourney is for you. Sign up is at 10:00 AM Sunday.

Looking for tabletop RPGs? SiouxperCon has two absolutely excellent game masters running two sessions of one shot games they have created. Details here and here.

Team Andy from Mitchell will be talking about opentable Gaming on Saturday and Sunday. Their mission is to spread the word about game-based learning and to promote geekdom in all forms, with emphasis on larger group and party games.

The Great Plains Game Players will be hosting some group gaming on Saturday and Sunday too. There will be a Settlers of Catan tournament on Saturday at 4:00 PM. They say that newer players welcome, but you should have played the game at least once. On Sunday there's a Splendor Tournament starting at 2:00PM and it's new player friendly.

Ions Gaming Group will have lots of open gaming available all of Saturday and Sunday. They will be running Traveler Sunday and playing/teaching Splendor, Cartagena and Patchwork. They are  also sponsoring the spaceship bridge simulation game, Artemis.
