BURNSVILLE, MN — The University of Sioux Falls softball team was picked to finish 13th in the NSIC Preseason coaches’ poll, as announced by the conference office on Thursday.
The Cougars went 15-19 during their 2012 NCAA Division II provisional season.
The NSIC preseason standings reflect the final standings of a season ago. The top two teams are separated by a mere point; Minnesota State, Mankato (213) and Augustana College (212). Winona State (192), Minnesota-Duluth (190) and Concordia St. Paul (174) round out the top five.
USF will be looking towards the bat of Priscilla Quintana (3B, 5-3, Sr., R/R, Los Angeles, Calif.) who was tabbed as the Cougars’ “Player to Watch” in the NSIC.
