Combat Veterans Healing Hiking Trail

Today saying thank you may not be enough.  But don't let that stop you.

Today we honor all members of the Armed Forces who have served this country valiantly.  Each man and woman who has worn the uniform  to protect and defend our rights should be proud of their service just as we are.

In a small way I was a part of honoring some of our wounded veterans this fall with a contribution to the Fish With A Vet program in the Black Hills.  A thank you to their service and recognition to their not wanting anything to hold them back.

A unit from Ellsworth Air Force Base in the Black Hills has also said thanks, in their own way, by carving out a hiking trail near Custer, SD this summer.  This new Healing Hike trail is also close to Operation Black Hills Cabin where disabled veterans and their families can spend a week enjoying the peace and quite and stress.   Free.
