Coach Fired over ‘Blurred Lines’ Routine
Lisa Jolin who was a dance coach for Marshfield High School in Wisconsin was fired last month because her team did a routine to an EDITED version of “Blurred Lines”. The performed it 2 night before the Miley/Thicke performance at the VMA’s.
The school is not specifically saying why she was fired but an April performance review, The Marshfield Athletic Director said she had helped transform the team, and encouraged her to build the program the way she wanted to.
Parents and students said they were concerned the dance team might disband without Jolin, who brought it a measure of respectability. Two of the seven members have already quit. Ultimately, Joling said she’s not upset she was fired; she’s more concerned with what will happen to the team now that it doesn’t have a coach.
