It's not often that residents are asked to stay away from city parks, but that's what'shappening in Sioux Falls. Mayor Mike Huether is asking people to stay away from the parks and bike trails.

Huether says there are hanging limbs everywhere and the strong winds predicted by the National Weather Service over the next 48 hours could create a dangerous situation.

Forecasters say we could get winds gusting up to 40 miles per hour, which can cause storm-damaged, hanging branches to fall.

City officials say the 75 parks and 30 miles of bike paths will be addressed after the immediate needs of neighborhoods are met.
