City Invites Residents to Sign Final Beam for Premier Center

The final beam for the Premier Center will be hoisted into place next week.

Before the beam is set in place forever, the city is offering patrons of Sioux Falls the opportunity to sign the beam.

The beam will be at three different locations over the next few days to give residents a chance to autograph the beam.

The beam will be at Howard Wood Field before the Washington vs. Rapid City Central game at 5:30-7 p.m. on Friday; 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Empire Mall in the JC Penney north parking lot as part of the Paint the Plows exhibit; and 3-7 p.m. Saturday at the Sioux Falls Convention Center main entrance.

The beam will be put in place at the Denny Sanford Premier Center during a topping off ceremony at the construction site Oct. 16 at 4:30 p.m. The public is invited to attend the ceremony.

There will also be an opportunity to sign the beam Wednesday before the topping off ceremony at the construction site.
