A Lake Andes man has been indicted on two counts of first-degree manslaughter and other charges in connection with a crash that killed two people in early July.

Attorney General Marty Jackley and Charles Mix County States Attorney Thomas Deadrick say Ronald Ray Fischer, 29, was indicted August 5 by a Charles Mix County Grand Jury.

The charges stem from a July 8 crash that killed two US Fish and Wildlife Service employees who had been working in the Pickstown area.

In addition to the manslaughter charges, Fischer is charged with two counts of vehicular homicide, one count of driving under the influence and one count of ingesting a non-alcoholic substance to become intoxicated.

The manslaughter and vehicular homicide charges are all felonies.
