‘Can’t Buy Me Love’ Star Found Dead in Her Home.

One of Patrick Dempsey's first films was the 1987 flick, Can't Buy Me Love. He played Ronald Miller, a nerd who gives a cheerleader, Cindy Mancini, $1,000 to pretend to be his girlfriend for a month. Cindy was played by Amanda Peterson. Amanda was found dead in her home in Greeley, Colorado on Sunday, July 5, 2015.

According to TMZ.com, Peterson's father told the website they don't know the cause of death, but she had some illness and a sleep apnea problem that may have contributed.

Amanda was 43 years old. She quit the entertainment industry in 1994.
