Mayor Huether and Emmett Reistroffer have filed paperwork to run for election in April of 2014. According to the Mayor, a formal announcement of his mayoral candidacy will happen in January. The Mayor will be on KSOO's Viewpoint University with Rick Knobe and Dan Peters, Thursday Nov. 14th at 4:15pm.

Emmett Reistroffer has announced his candidacy for one of the at-large city council seats up for grabs in the same election next spring. Reistroffer describes himself as an activist and community organizer. He is 23 years old.

Greg Jamison, a current city council member has announced his candidacy for the Mayor's job. None of the incumbent council members up next year have announced their plans. They are: Michelle Erpenbach, Central district; Sue Aguilar, Southeast district; Rex Rolfing and Jim Entenman, at large.

The April city election has four ballot initiatives, the mayor, four members of the city council, and one school board seat(Doug Morrison) on the ballot. It promises to be an interesting late winter and spring.
