Campsites Available for Fort Sisseton Festival

LAKE CITY - State Game, Fish and Parks officials say plenty of campsites are still available for the annual Fort Sisseton Historic Festival.

Camping is open for stays June 5-9.

Fort Sisseton manager Katie Ceroll says this is the first year camping reservations have been taken during the festival. She says reservations help reduce the time campers have to wait at the state park's gate.

Ceroll says the park had trouble accepting reservations in the past two weeks, but the reservation system is working now.

The annual festival features entertainment, culture and history relating to the fort built nearly 150 years ago.
