Bond Set Suspects in Sioux Falls Apartmemt Shooting
According to the Associated Press, Eugene Willis Garcia, Jr., 25, allegedly fired a single shot in the direction of three peole who were leaving his apartment on Friday. The bullet struck a 19-year-old woman in the chest. She was transported to a local hospital where police said her wound was not life-threatening.
Garcia, and Kelvin Jonathan Santos, 20, fled the scene and were apprehended on Saturday.
Garcia Jr. was charged with multiple counts of aggravated assault, including assault with a dangerous weapon with extreme indifference, attempts to commit serious bodily injury, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Santos was charged with multiple counts of aggravated assault and attempt to commit a felony with a firearm.
Both men face a preliminary hearing on Aug. 6.
