Body Found on I-90 Shuts Down Traffic Overnight

I-90 on the north end of Sioux Falls is open once again after being closed for most of the overnight period on Friday October 2, 2015.

Authorities report a body was discovered near a bridge overpass just east of the intersection of I-29 and I-90.

Initially both east and west bound lanes were closed around midnight.  A few hours later the east bound lane was open, while the west bound lane was closed until approximately 5:45am.

It is uncertain if the person who passed away was a pedestrian along I-90 or was initially on the overpass.  The overpass is Kiwanis avenue, which turns into Westport avenue just to the south.
