Bird Snowboards With Jar Lid [VIDEO]

When a friend of mine told me about a bird having some fun snowboarding on a jar lid, I thought she was joking and didn't believe her.  But now I'm pretty sure I've seen everything.

At first I thought it was just a fluke.  A one-time stroke of luck that someone caught on video using a cell phone.  A bird sliding down the roof of a building, on what looks like a jar lid, somewhere in Russia.  But when the bird actually picks up the lid and makes a second and third ride down the roof, I thought the video was worth sharing.

I'm not exactly sure if this bird is "smart" enough to realize that it's having fun.  But it almost looks as if that's what it is doing.  Especially when the bird pecks at the lid, making it look like it didn't want the ride to end, possibly thinking that by pecking at the lid, it might just keep sliding down.

Again...I'm not sure what to think of this crazy bird having it's own version of some winter fun.  But maybe my friend was right by saying, "All creatures learn through play."
