Big Weather Events of the 20th Century in Sioux Falls

Since we are in the middle of a Winter Storm Warning I got to thinking...does this one rank up there with one of the worst weather events Sioux Falls has ever had. Well I did some diggin and found out that the worst ice-storm was in 1996 when 2-3 inches of freezing rain, sleet, and some snow fell in the Sioux Falls area.

I was talking Ben Davis about that storm since I was living in Wisconsin at that time to see if he remembers it. Turns out electricians came in from all over the country to try to help out.
