We’ve noticed that Beyonce has been getting more and more involved in political and social causes lately, as she has proven at recent shows in Nashville and Detroit.

Last night (July 23), she wowed us with her heart of gold, yet again, by meeting victims of the Boston Marathon bombings backstage following her performance at Boston’s TD Garden.

Adrianne Haslet-Davis, Mery Daniel and Heather Abbott each lost a leg from the terrible tragedy that took place on April 15.

Haslet-Davis, a 32-year-old dance instructor, lost part of her left leg, as did 31-year-old Daniel. Abbott, a 38-year-old Raytheon employee, suffered the amputation of her left foot after the bomb attacks. However, despite their horrifying injuries, all three women have remained positive during the painstaking process of recovery — which involves learning to live with prosthetics.

The three brave survivors were thrilled to meet the ‘Love on Top’ songstress, and judging from Bey’s beaming smile in the pic above, the feeling was mutual.

Beyonce is in the midst of her extended Mrs. Carter Show World Tour, which includes stops in England, Brazil, Venezuela, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Canada and, of course, the U.S. She plans to return to Boston on Dec. 20 to wrap up the ambitious trek.
