Ever since the Denny Sanford Premier Center opened up 2 years ago, we have seen a variety of acts who have come to the area as part of their tour. Barry Manilow, Korn, Shania Twain, Lil Wayne just to name a few. Well a new study has ranked America’s best and worst cities for music lovers. So where does Sioux Falls rank on the list?

Consequence of Sound has released ValuePenguin’s study on music fan’s favorite cities. the study looked at 15 different data points grouped into three categories.Things like, number of bands per capita and how awesome the crowds were at the shows. So the number #1 city on the list is the country capital of the world, Nashville Tennessee.

As for Sioux Falls we came in at #28 overall. We even beat out Chicago! But what is surprising is that we ranked #1 overall in Crowd! So if an artist is coming to town, you can believe that us South Dakotans will travel near and far to see the show!
