Hi, Ben here, and I’m on a mission to not be fat when I turn 42. To do that I’ve partnered with Profile by Sanford and I want to take you with me on my journey.

This week I want to share something my wife Brenda wants to say about my Profile Journey. Or rather, I was directed to share this statement with you :).

I have watched Ben struggle with his weight for years now. And this plan thru Profile does work. But you have to stick with it.

He is almost to the weight he was hoping to achieve. He gave himself a small window to get it done and is doing it!

Discipline and believing in himself is what did it. And a little help from the kids and myself. Staying on him and encouraging him. He had it in him the whole time.

You can tell that it was really written by my wife because of the neat handwriting. And because I tend to get coffee stains on everything and fold and crumple every piece of paper that comes into my hands like a third grader.

Brenda wanted me to share this with everyone because she is very thankful that I am on this journey. She was there when I ballooned up, and is one of the core reasons that I started Profile.

I've discovered that support is a key ingredient for success. That's not the same as policing. I don't expect my wife or kids to hover over me and smack the pizza out of my hand. It's about keeping my needs in mind when we make plans. Listening to me complain when I have a craving and reminding me to keep my eye on the big picture. Celebrating my successes with me. That's what support is.

The idea of support is built into Profile. That's why the Profile coaches are so important. While it's similar to my family's, the coaching adds a level of expertise and accountability to the mix. It is amazing to be involved with something where so many people are pushing me to success.
