In the past, we've heard about networks passing up some great dramas now and again, like when 'Breaking Bad' almost went to FX, before landing on AMC as the Emmy-winning bad-ass drama we all know it to be. But did you know that before AMC scored even bigger with Robert Kirkman's 'The Walking Dead,' HBO and NBC were in the market for the zombie-thriller as well? What made them pass on something that's become such a cultural phenomeon?
Never fear, Andy Samberg fans. The timing of the unfortunate 'That's My Boy' with Andy Samberg's 'SNL' exit does not mean that the "D*ck in a Box" funnyman has abandoned TV for movies. In fact, we've just learned that Samberg has signed onto an untitled FOX comedy from the creators of 'Parks and Recreation,' but who will the new sitcom see Samberg playing? Earlier today we heard from the producers of The CW's superhero hit 'Arrow' about the possibility of larger DC characters appearing on the the show, as well as the wealth of DC universe elements that subtly make their way into the series. Well, gee willickers, there's a surprise. We're just hours from the season 2 premiere of 'American Horror Story,' as the Emmy-winning horror serial heads back to the year 1964 for the brand-new tale of 'American Horror Story: Asylum.' And while viewers were dumbfounded to first learn that the second season would follow an all-new story with mostly-new cast members, somehow, we're not the slightest bit surprised to learn season 1 star Dylan McDermott will return after all. Like you, we adore the work of Ryan Hurst, everything from his bit turn in 'Saving Private Ryan' to his Emmy-worthy work on Kurt Sutter's FX biker drama 'Sons of Anarchy.' 'Suits' fans, don't start dressing casually just yet. Following its wildly successful second season on USA, the Gabriel Macht/Patrick J. Adams legal drama 'Suits' has officially been renewed for a third season to air in the summer of 2013. Still, 'Suits' isn't the first USA drama to be renewed for an additional season, nor is it the last of the show's on the network's plate at the moment, so does that mean bad news for 'Necessary Roughness,' and the other legal/political dramas? Plus, how many episodes can 'Suits' fans expect?
