Augustana shot a 309 on Monday to move up three spots and into second place at the NCAA Division II Central Region Golf Championships.

The Vikings are tied with Henderson State at 617 (308-309) heading into Tuesday's final round of play.  Central Oklahoma leads the team standings at 602 (300-302).

Augustana's Allie Ostrander shot a two over par 74 and is tied for second overall with a score of 148 for the tournament, four stokes off the lead.

Tavia Rutherford of the University of Sioux Falls shot a four over 76 and vaulted into a tie for eight place with a two round score of 154.  For Rutherford to qualify for the NCAA Championships, she needs to be one of the top three golfers not competing on a NCAA Championship qualifying team.  Rutherford is just one stroke out of third place.

Taylor Neidy of Central Oklahoma leads all players after two rounds with an even-par 144 (72-72).

The final round of the Central Regional is scheduled for Tuesday.
