‘Are You Afraid of The Dark?’ Is Coming To The Big Screen

90's Nickelodeon fans rejoice, "Are you afraid of the Dark?" is heading to the big screen! According to Variety, Paramount has set a Halloween season release date of Oct. 11, 2019. Write Gary Dauberman who co-wrote the script for the movie IT, is on board to pen this project.

According to Wikipedia, the series ran on Nickelodeon from 1990-1996. The show centers around a group of teenagers who referred to themselves as "The Midnight Society." Every week, the group would meet up and tell scary stories around a campfire in the woods.

The series was revived in 1999. Many celebrites made guest appearances on the show such as Ryan Gosling, Neve Campbell, Melissa Joan Hart and many others.
