It was a messy breakup between Brett Favre and the Green Bay Packers after the 2007 season.  The Pack was ready to see what Aaron Rodgers had as a starter, while Favre thought he deserved to leave on his own terms.

What's followed over the last six years has been 'difficult' to say the least

But all of those hard feelings may be on the verge of being forgotten.

This week, Packers president and CEO Mark Murphy told FoxSportsWisconsin.com:

We want to have (Favre) back in the family.

Murphy's change of heart came after he saw Favre and Rodgers appear together at an NFL Honors event in February.:

I thought he and Aaron jointly presenting the Comeback Player of the Year Award was a great first step.  We're hopeful to have (Favre) back in the fold and get him back involved in the organization soon.

So could we be seeing 'Brett Favre Day' at Lambeau Field in 2013?

As long as he doesn't try to throw on the jersey they're attempting to retire and play 'one last time', I'm all for it!
