Are the Denver Broncos or Seattle Seahawks in better shape to make it back to the Super Bowl in 2015?

“Well I think they both are. If you play that Super Bowl over again, you probably wouldn’t have gotten that bad of a start that Denver had last year. I tell you what the one difference I saw (in last week’s preseason game) right off the jump is DeMarcus Ware. If he plays with that type of speed, quickness and is dominating plays at the line of scrimmage, they are going to be very, very enhanced on the defensive side of the ball. Which they could use that pass rush. To me it’s just a matter, can he (Ware) do that for a 16-game cycle? That’s going to the biggest question. Out of the gates, he (Ware) looked hungry and like he wanted to take that game over and that will be a piece that I think Denver is going to need. When you look at the Seattle Seahawks and I just watch Peyton Manning and watch the defensive line pushing back and setting the tone at the line of scrimmage, where the Broncos I just think aren’t quite there. They are step behind and I think that’s going to be the difference. I don’t know if Peyton Manning is going to feel comfortable, ever feel comfortable in a system isn’t premier. I tell you Seattle is going to give them the best run if those two kick back again. I definitely could see them in the same position again this year.”

Thurn is LIVE tomorrow at the Birdcage on ESPN 99.1 from 3 to 6 p.m. Follow Jeff @jtespn991 and Sam @samtastad on Twitter.
