The Sioux Falls Police Department’s Animal Control Division would like the public’s help in locating a dog in reference to a dog bite.

On July 19, 2013, at around 9 p.m., a 37-year-old female was at Spencer Dog Park with her dog. While at the park, her dog was attacked by an American bulldog. The female tried to separate the two dogs and was also bitten in the hand breaking the skin.

The owner of the American bulldog was described as a middle-aged man, with short hair, wearing a T shirt and shorts. The man was possibly at the park with his wife and kids and they were parked in the far east end of the dog park lot. The dog was described as an American bulldog, with brown patchy colors, and possibly wearing a blue collar.

Animal Control needs to identify the dog in this incident to verify its vaccinations. If you have any information on this case, please call Animal Control at 367-7000.
