If you're in need of a working smoke alarm, the American Red Cross can help you!

Jennifer Ross of the American Red Cross in Eastern South Dakota explains.

"If you are a Sioux Falls resident and you do not have working smoke alarms in your home, this year we hope you will make an appointment for us to come out on September 30th and install smoke alarms in your home. "

"The process for getting smoke alarms and signing up for those is really simple. You go to: getasmokealarm.org. You fill out the information. On Saturday September 30th the Sioux Falls Fire Department will come out and check any smoke alarms you do have in your home and make sure they're working. They will install new smoke alarms if you don't have them or if your alarms need to be replaced.
