Police say you could call it aggravated shoplifting. Investigators say two men stole five bottles of liquor Tuesday evening from the Hy-Vee store at West 10th Street and South Kiwanis Avenue in Sioux Falls.

Police spokesman Sam Clemens says the two walked into the store just after 8:00 p.m. and grabbed the liquor from the shelf. He says a 19-year-old store employee saw one of them concealing the bottles in his jacket and confronted the men outside the store, but one suspect pulled a knife and threatened the employee with it.

The suspects, both described as Native American males, six feet tall and 250 pounds, ran from the store, got into a vehicle and left.

There was no dollar amount on the liquor taken.
