The first day of spring is officially March 20th.  But everyone who lives in South Dakota knows that just because the calendar says "First Day Of Spring", that doesn't really mean anything. Old Man Winter can show his face for quite some time yet.

According to the National Weather Service in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, when it comes to snowfall records, May 31, 1954 is the latest that at least a trace of snow has been recorded.  It was April 28, 1994, when the National Weather Service recorded about 10.5 inches of snow.

So with more snow and cold temperatures expected in South Dakota this week, many are getting close to their 'Winter Breaking Point'!  Is this you?
