A group of people in Sioux Falls were drinking on Monday morning when things got out of hand!

"A bunch of them ended up on 9th Street and Cliff Avenue," explained Police Spokesman Sam Clemens,"when our suspect came along and met back up with this group. He punched the victim a few times in the head and took a can of beer from her sweat shirt."

That's when police were called to the scene.

"Officers found the suspect. He still had the can of beer and was arrested for robbery and simple assault. No serious injuries. Just a couple of punches in the back of the head. Nobody needed any medical attention."

Clemens identified the victim as 25-year-old Derek Red House, a Sioux Falls transient.
