A Sioux Falls Woman Was Murdered Sunday and Police Are Asking For Your Help

Sioux Falls Police were called to a central Sioux Falls home Sunday night where they found a dead woman. Following an autopsy Monday, they’re now classifying it as the city’s first homicide of 2014.

56-year old Kari Ann Kirkegaard was found in her home at 709 S. Garfield where she lived alone. But police say her bedding was missing.

Sioux Falls Police are asking people to check their garbage cans for anything that shouldn’t be there, like the dead woman’s bedsheets.

If you find anything suspicious or had any contact with Kari Ann Kirkegaard in the past week, please call 911.
