First of all - that's NOT my stomach in the picture!  It's been a LONG time since I've been able to feel my ribs!

I ran across an interesting health story Wednesday morning.  You know how Botox is used to get rid of wrinkles?  Well, now there's a new product out called ATX-101 that is suppose to eliminate a person's double chin.

Nashville, Tennessee Dermatologist Dr. Michael Gold has been testing the stuff for years, and says that if you inject it in a certain pattern, it can dissolve fat and actually tighten skin.  It's currently only approved to be used on the neck however, but he says - presumably - it should also work on flabby arms, love handles, and even that dreaded back fat.

"I'm convinced it'll eventually become just like the Botoxes of the world.  Even though it's currently only approved for the neck, that doesn't mean it won't work in the arm or other areas where someone is carrying around fat"

Doctor Gold even goes as far as to call AXT-101 a possible "game changer" in the fight against obesity.  He's hopeful that it'll be approved and available for general use by the end of the year.

Okay, now I have to admit, I'm one of those 'I'll believe it when I see it' kind of guys.  If, in fact, its proven to actually work, and it's proven to not have any long term negative affects, then I'll hop on board and sing its praises.  But until that time, I'll remain here on the sideline if you don't mind.

I would like to point out though (in case Dr. Gold is reading this and is looking for someone to try it out on), if it does work and can be proven to burn fat - mark me down for a 30 gallon drum of the stuff!
