If you want to find out if your relationship will last, try assembling a piece of furniture from Ikea - seriously! According to a report in the Wall Street Journal, so many couples mention fighting while shopping at Ikea, or while assembling the furniture, that therapists are now using it as a communication exercise.

A San Diego therapist calls one Ikea item in particular - The Divorcemaker. It's a massive entertainment center that is so complicated, it requires two people to assemble and has to be fastened to the wall. Studies have shown that couples who can work together while assembling furniture usually have healthier relationships than those who can't.
