Good Man Made Sad Final Choice

A friend ended his life this week. His life was filled with positives. Husband, father, firefighter, legislator, Union member, and lobbyist. He was an intelligent man. He worked for the betterment of all, with a special empathy for the poor and downtrodden.

We had talked about having lunch soon.

Now his dark side. Early this week, law enforcement entered his home, took his computers, and marijuana. The computers allegedly contained child porn.

I am sad he didn't seek help, sad for the hopelessness he must have felt, sad for his final choice, and sad for his family, his friends, and society.

Please seek help if you feel hopeless. The pain you leave behind is much greater than the hopelessness you are feeling at the moment.
