89-Year-Old Dies After Crashing New Dodge Charger

John Jensen, 89, from Dell Rapids passed away just west of Baltic when his 2015 Dodge Charger hit a pillar just before 5:00 PM on Friday July 10, 2015. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Highway Patrol says Jensen was driving a 2015 Dodge Charger east on 250th Street near Interstate 29. The vehicle went off the roadway and hit the bridge pillar which supports the southbound lane of Interstate 29.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash.  Investigation into the crash continues.

Other agencies responding to the crash were Minnehaha County Sheriff's Office, Baltic Fire and Rescue, Dell Rapids Ambulance and Sanford helicopter.
