LAS VEGAS (AP) - Police say a 24-year-old Las Vegas man is facing four counts of driving under the influence resulting in death after his car killed four people and injured several others at a Las Vegas bus stop.
Gary Lee Hosey Jr. was hospitalized in serious condition following the crash Thursday morning. Police say he was booked in absentia on four counts of DUI-death.
Three women and a man waiting at the bus stop died. Police say the victims are all Las Vegas residents but their names are being withheld pending notification of relatives.
Three others at the bus and four passenger in Hosey's car were also injured. One person suffered minor injuries, the others had injuries ranging from serious to critical.
Police say an officer who was fueling his vehicle at a nearby convenience store watched as the car appeared to lose control and bottom out on a downward slope before leaving the pavement and slamming into the bus stop.
