A weekend saturation patrol by Sioux Falls police ended with three people arrested for driving while intoxicated.

Officer Sam Clemens says the saturation patrol began at 7:00 PM Friday and ended at 3:00 AM Saturday.

In addition to the three DWI arrests, Clemens says 14 motorists were cited for license violations - revoked, suspended or having no license. Also, he says 29 verbal warnings were given and 11 warning tickets were issued.

Nine drivers had no insurance and eight were ticketed for a seat belt violation.

Clemens says the saturation patrol involved nine additional officers.
