A Sioux Falls fire was reported around 6:45 Tuesday morning at 4506 W. 12th St. A mobile home was severely damaged in the fire. This was the second Sioux Falls fire in less than 24 hours.

According to Argus 911:

There were no serious injuries, but Pena said his brother was getting oxygen in an ambulance for smoke inhalation. Pena wasn't home when the fire broke out, but his brother, mother and her boyfriend were. Pena's brother called him, screaming into the phone that their home had burned down.

"I couldn't believe it. Why is this happening?" Pena said. "This is the second time our house has burned down. Guess it's just our luck."

He said one of his family's previous homes burned in an electrical fire when he was in second grade.

Pena said the family's two dogs got out of the house, but one of them had a burn on one leg.

Firefighters could see flames and heavy smoke when they first arrived, Captain Troy Scandin said. The blaze was extinguished in 15 minutes.

Emergency communications indicated that the floor in the back bedroom was burned through.

A fire inspector was on the scene to determine the cause and extent of damage.
