A Dakota Wesleyan University student hopes to add some balance to the Mitchell City Council.

The Mitchell Daily Republic reports that 22 year-old Clay Loneman is running for the council seat that represents southeastern Mitchell. The election is June 6. Loneman told the newspaper that he want to bring some youth to the council.

A lifelong Mitchell resident, Loneman is a history education and criminal justice student at DWU.
