2015 Tournament of Ticks!

The License Plate Game, Guess What Animal I'm Thinking Of are great summer games, but it's time to add a new summer game to the mix. Welcome to the 2015 Tournament of Ticks!

Eventually you'll find a few or as it so happens a few will find you. So here is a way to start a points system with the family before you chuck 'em or flush 'em. Determine a grand prize in your home, at the office, or around the barn for whoever tallies the most tick points this summer. Happy Hunting!

Here is the official Tick Tournament point system.

• Free Throw: One point for your run of the mill tick found attached to your head.
• Three Pointer: Three points for picking off a Traveler. This is a tick on the move, a mobile little blood sucker on the prowl for a place to set up camp scores you 3 points.
• Herd of Ticks: If you find more than 3 ticks on the same body in the same day congrats add 5 points!
• The Weird Walker: This is a tick that finds a home in a place where your swimsuit normally covers. That's a 6 point Tick! And a great story.
• The Dr. Is In: If a Dr. has to notify you of a tick they found that you were unaware of you will automatically be awarded an additional 2 points because, well you earned it.
• Grapes of Wrath: If you find a tick the size of a grape the kind that is occasionally discovered on a dog it's like sinking the eight ball to early, you are immediately disqualified.  Game Over.
