SIOUX FALLS, SD -Augustana College head football coach Jerry Olszewski announced today the signing of 35 high school student-athletes to letters of intent to continue their academic and football careers at Augustana. Today's announcement was made on the first day student-athletes are allowed to sign letters of intent.The list includes student-athletes from eight difference states, including Minnesota (12), South Dakota (9), Wisconsin (5), Colorado (3), Nebraska (2), Alaska (1), Illinois (1), Iowa (1)?and Missouri?(1).

"This signing class addressed not only our position needs and depth, but also a level of athleticism necessary to be successful in the NSIC as we build the foundation of Viking football," Olszewski said. "I am very proud of our staff as we attracted the best and the brightest to represent Augustana football and create a high level of competition in our team."

Located in Sioux Falls, S.D., Augustana College is a member of NCAA Division II and competes in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference. Augustana finished the 2013 season 4-7 overall, finishing tied for 10th in the 16-team conference. The Vikings were 2-5 in the NSIC South Division, tying for sixth in the eight-team division.
